  • 1 cup Jowar flour
  • 1/2 cup Ragi flour
  • 1 cup Fresh methi leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1 small Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Curd optional, helps with softness
  • 1 tsp Ginger-green chilli paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Salt adjust to taste
  • 2 tsp Oil for cooking each thalipeeth

Equipment

  • Tawa
  • Mixing bowl
  • Rolling board or parchment sheet

Method
 

  1. Mix jowar flour, ragi flour, methi leaves, onion, spices, salt, and curd in a bowl.
  2. Add little water and knead into a soft dough. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Take a small portion, place it on a parchment sheet, and gently press it into a round thalipeeth.
  4. Heat a tawa. Add a few drops of oil and place the thalipeeth on it.
  5. Cook on medium flame until golden spots appear on both sides.
  6. Serve warm with curd or homemade chutney.

Notes

For extra softness, add 1 to 2 tbsp warm water while kneading. Methi can be replaced with spinach for variation.
