
Mini Bhakarwadi / Masala Mathri
Crispy, spiced and easy-to-make mini bhakarwadi or masala mathri prepared with whole wheat flour for a healthier snack.

Method
- In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour, semolina, salt and 2 tbsp oil. Rub well.
- Add little water and knead a tight dough. Rest it for 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix coconut, sesame, coriander powder, cumin, red chilli powder, amchur and jaggery. Add 1 tbsp oil to bind.
- Roll the dough into a thin roti. Spread the masala filling evenly.
- Roll it tightly like a log and cut into small 1 cm pieces.
- Heat oil on medium flame. Fry the pieces on low-medium heat until golden and crisp.
- Let them cool completely and store in an airtight container.
Notes
For a healthier version, you can air-fry or bake at 180°C for 12 to 15 minutes. Store for up to 2 weeks.
