Besan Roti
Besan roti is a light, protein-rich Indian flatbread made with gram flour. It cooks quickly, tastes earthy, and pairs well with any simple sabzi.

Method
- Add besan, whole wheat flour, ajwain, haldi, and salt to a mixing bowl.
- Slowly add water and start kneading. Besan dough can crack, so add water little by little.
- Add oil and knead again until the dough becomes smooth and soft.
- Divide the dough into two balls and dust lightly with flour.
- Roll each ball gently into a medium-thick roti. Move slowly to avoid cracks.
- Heat a tawa and place the roti. Cook on medium heat until brown spots appear.
- Flip and cook the other side. Press edges lightly for even cooking.
- Serve hot with curd or any light sabzi.
Notes
Besan roti is best served fresh. If the dough feels too soft or sticky, add a spoon of wheat flour for structure.
