  • 1 cup curd (fresh and thick) whisked
  • 1 tbsp thecha (green chilli-garlic mix) adjust to spice level
  • 2 tbsp cucumber finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander chopped
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp black salt

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • small pan
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. Whisk the curd in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add thecha, cucumber, onion and coriander. Mix everything gently.
  3. Sprinkle cumin powder, black salt and regular salt. Adjust seasoning as per taste.
  4. Chill the raita for 10 minutes for better flavour and serve cold.

Notes

Use homemade thecha for the best flavour. You can reduce thecha quantity if serving to kids or if you prefer a lighter spice level.
