
Stuffed Moong Dal Pakoda
Crispy stuffed moong dal pakoda filled with a simple masala mix. A healthy, protein-rich Indian snack that’s easy for beginners.

Method
- Drain soaked moong dal and grind it with ginger, green chillies, cumin seeds and a splash of water to make a thick batter.
- Transfer the batter to a bowl. Add salt and rice flour. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix mashed potato, onion, coriander, chaat masala, chilli powder and salt to make the stuffing.
- Heat oil in a kadhai on medium flame.
- Take a spoonful of batter, place a small portion of stuffing in the center and cover it with more batter.
- Gently drop the stuffed pakoda into hot oil. Fry until golden and crisp.
- Remove on tissue paper and serve hot with green chutney.
Notes
For a healthier version, air-fry at 180°C for 12–15 minutes with light brushing of oil.
