
Makhana Tikki
Light, crispy, and healthy Makhana Tikki made with roasted fox nuts, potatoes, and simple Indian spices. Perfect for weight-loss snacks.

- Dry roast the makhana on low flame for 3 to 4 minutes and let them cool.
- Grind the roasted makhana into a coarse powder.
- In a mixing bowl, add mashed potatoes, makhana powder, besan, ginger-chilli paste, spices, coriander, and salt.
- Mix well and shape the mixture into small flat tikkis.
- Heat a non-stick pan, add a little oil, and shallow fry the tikkis on medium flame until golden on both sides.
- Serve hot with mint chutney or curd dip.
Notes
For weight loss, use minimal oil. You can also air-fry the tikkis at 180°C for 10–12 minutes.
