  • 2 cups milk prefer low-fat
  • 2 tbsp custard powder (vanilla)
  • 2 tbsp jaggery powder or sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cup mixed chopped fruits apple, banana, pomegranate, grapes, mango

Method
 

  1. Heat 1.5 cups milk in a saucepan on medium flame and bring it to a gentle boil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix custard powder with ½ cup cold milk. Whisk till smooth.
  3. Pour the custard mixture into the hot milk slowly, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Add jaggery or sugar and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture turns slightly thick.
  5. Switch off the flame and let it cool completely.
  6. Add chopped fruits and gently mix. Refrigerate for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use only fresh and firm fruits. Avoid citrus fruits like oranges inside the custard to prevent curdling. Add bananas only before serving to avoid browning.
