  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp Instant yeast
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Warm water
  • 1/2 cup Pizza sauce
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese (grated, low-fat preferred)
  • 1/2 cup Capsicum (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup Onion (sliced)
  • 1/3 cup Tomato (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 cup Sweet corn (boiled)
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and olive oil. Add warm water slowly and knead into a soft dough.
  2. Cover the dough and rest it for 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Dust the surface and roll the dough into a medium-thick base.
  4. Spread pizza sauce evenly on the base, then add all the vegetables.
  5. Top with low-fat mozzarella cheese and sprinkle oregano and chilli flakes.
  6. Place the pizza on a baking tray and bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until the crust turns crisp and cheese melts.

Notes

You can add mushrooms, olives, paneer, or spinach for extra nutrition. Whole wheat flour keeps the pizza light and fibre-rich.
