  • 1 cup raw peanuts skinless preferred
  • 3 cups water for blending
  • 1 tsp jaggery powder optional for sweetness
  • 1 pinch cardamom powder optional

Equipment

  • Strainer or muslin cloth
  • bowl

Method
 

  1. Wash the peanuts well and soak them in water for 8 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain the soaked peanuts and remove loose skin if required.
  3. Add the peanuts and 3 cups of fresh water to a blender and blend until smooth.
  4. Strain the blended mixture using a fine strainer or muslin cloth to extract the milk.
  5. Add jaggery and cardamom if you prefer flavour, mix well and serve fresh.

Notes

You can refrigerate peanut milk for up to 2 days. Shake well before drinking as natural separation is normal.
