  • 1 cup water fresh
  • 1 tsp green tea leaves or 1 tea bag
  • 1 tsp lemon juice optional
  • 1 tsp honey optional, avoid if weight-loss specific

Method
 

  1. Heat water in a saucepan on medium flame.
  2. When the water starts steaming, switch off the flame. Do not boil fully.
  3. Add green tea leaves or tea bag. Let it steep for 2 minutes.
  4. Strain into a cup.
  5. Add lemon or honey if you prefer. Stir and serve warm.

Notes

Avoid steeping green tea for too long. It becomes bitter and may cause acidity. Best enjoyed on an empty stomach or mid-evening.
