Healthy Aloo Paratha

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 medium boiled potatoes mashed well
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp green chilli finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 2 tsp oil or ghee for cooking

Method
 

  1. Add whole wheat flour to a bowl, sprinkle a little salt, and knead a soft dough using water. Rest it for 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix mashed potatoes, coriander, green chilli, cumin powder, red chilli powder, turmeric, and salt.
  3. Divide dough into equal balls. Roll one ball into a small circle, place a spoonful of filling in the center, and seal it tightly.
  4. Gently roll the stuffed ball into a paratha using light pressure.
  5. Heat a tawa and cook the paratha on both sides until golden brown, adding a few drops of oil or ghee.

Notes

For a healthier version, use minimal oil and pair the paratha with curd for better digestion.
