  • 1 cup milk powder low-fat
  • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/3 cup milk add more if needed
For Jaggery Syrup
  • 1 cup jaggery grated
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 pods cardamom crushed

Method
 

  1. Add milk powder, whole wheat flour, and baking soda into a mixing bowl. Mix them well.
  2. Pour ghee and rub it into the dry mix until it becomes crumbly.
  3. Add milk little by little and form a soft, smooth dough. Do not knead too much.
  4. Divide the dough into small smooth balls. Make sure there are no cracks.
  5. Bake the balls at 180°C for 12 to 15 minutes or air fry until golden. Keep aside.
  6. For the syrup, heat water and jaggery until it dissolves. Add cardamom and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Let the syrup become warm. Add the baked jamuns and soak for at least 1 hour.

Notes

If the dough feels dry, add 1 to 2 teaspoons extra milk. If jamuns are too dense, rest the dough for 10 minutes before shaping.
