
Simple Indian Kohlrabi Sabzi
Easy and healthy Indian-style kohlrabi sabzi — a light vegetarian dish, rich in fibre and vitamin C, perfect with roti or rice.

- Wash, peel and chop kohlrabi into small cubes.
- Heat oil in a kadai or frying pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add chopped kohlrabi, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Stir well to coat the pieces with spices.
- Pour in 1/4 cup water, mix, cover the pan with a lid, and cook on low-medium heat for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid sticking.
- When kohlrabi becomes tender and water dries up, stir gently once more. Switch off the heat. Your simple kohlrabi sabzi is ready.
Notes
You can add fresh coriander leaves on top for extra flavor. Serve hot with roti or rice. To keep it lighter, avoid adding extra oil.
