  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp Semolina (rava)
  • 2 tbsp Oil (for moyan)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt adjust to taste
Masala Filling
  • 2 tbsp Dry coconut powder
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp Amchur powder
  • 1 tbsp Jaggery powder
  • 1 tbsp Oil to bind the masala

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour, semolina, salt and 2 tbsp oil. Rub well.
  2. Add little water and knead a tight dough. Rest it for 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix coconut, sesame, coriander powder, cumin, red chilli powder, amchur and jaggery. Add 1 tbsp oil to bind.
  4. Roll the dough into a thin roti. Spread the masala filling evenly.
  5. Roll it tightly like a log and cut into small 1 cm pieces.
  6. Heat oil on medium flame. Fry the pieces on low-medium heat until golden and crisp.
  7. Let them cool completely and store in an airtight container.

Notes

For a healthier version, you can air-fry or bake at 180°C for 12 to 15 minutes. Store for up to 2 weeks.
