  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup grated cabbage
  • 1/4 cup boiled peas lightly mashed
  • 1 small potato boiled and mashed
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • to taste salt
  • 1 tbsp oil for dough
  • ghee or oil for roasting

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, mix whole wheat flour and salt. Add a little water and knead into a soft dough. Rest for 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine grated carrot, cabbage, peas, potato, coriander, ginger, turmeric, red chilli, cumin, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Divide the dough into equal balls. Roll one ball slightly, place 2 tablespoons of stuffing, and close it from all sides.
  4. Gently roll the stuffed ball into a medium-size paratha.
  5. Heat a tawa and cook the paratha on both sides using a little ghee or oil until golden and crisp.

Notes

You can add beetroot, capsicum, or spinach to increase nutrition. Serve with curd or chutney for a balanced meal.
