
Moong Dal Toast
Moong Dal Toast is a light, protein-rich Indian breakfast made with soaked moong dal and spices. It is healthy, quick, and perfect for weight-friendly meals.

- Drain soaked moong dal and grind it into a smooth paste using very little water.
- Transfer the paste to a bowl and mix in onion, capsicum, green chilli paste, turmeric, red chilli powder and salt.
- Heat a tawa on medium flame. Spread the dal mixture evenly over one side of each bread slice.
- Place the slice on the hot tawa, dal-side down. Cook for 2–3 minutes until golden.
- Flip and toast the other side with a little oil until crisp.
- Serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
Notes
For extra crunch, add grated carrot or finely chopped spinach to the batter. You can also air-fry the toast for a low-oil version.
