- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan on low flame and add the rolled oats. Roast for 2 to 3 minutes until they smell nutty.
- Pour in the water and stir well so the oats cook evenly.
- Once the oats soften, add jaggery and mix until it melts completely.
- Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the mixture turns thick like halwa.
- Add cardamom powder and chopped nuts. Give it a final stir and turn off the flame.
Notes
For extra nutrition, add 1 teaspoon chia seeds or flax seeds while cooking. You can replace jaggery with dates for a sugar-free version.
