  • 200 g Paneer (cubed) fresh or homemade
  • 1 cup Capsicum (sliced) mixed colours optional
  • 1 tbsp Oil any neutral oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 medium Onion (sliced)
  • 1 large Tomato (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala

  • Non-stick pan

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until soft and light golden.
  3. Mix in ginger-garlic paste and cook for a few seconds.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
  5. Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add sliced capsicum and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until slightly tender but still crunchy.
  7. Add paneer cubes and gently mix. Cook on low heat for 2 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala, mix once, and switch off the flame. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavour, add a squeeze of lemon and a handful of fresh coriander before serving.
