
Rawa (Semolina) Modak
Rawa Modak is a quick and healthy Indian sweet made with semolina, jaggery, and coconut. Perfect for festive prasad or a light homemade treat.

Method
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and roast the rawa on low flame until it turns aromatic and lightly golden.
- Add grated coconut and mix for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Pour in water or milk, stir well, and cook until the mixture thickens.
- Add jaggery powder and keep mixing until it melts and blends evenly.
- Add cardamom powder, nuts, and 1 tbsp ghee. Mix well and switch off the flame.
- Let the mixture cool slightly. Once warm, take small portions and press into a modak mould.
- Gently unmould and shape all the modaks. Serve fresh or store for a day.
Notes
Use fine rawa for smoother modaks. You can replace jaggery with coconut sugar for a lower-GI option.
