  • 2 medium sweet potatoes (shakarkandi) peeled and cut into fries
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp chat masala
  • 1/4 tsp salt adjust to taste

Method
 

  1. Wash, peel, and cut the sweet potatoes into even-sized fries.
  2. Soak the fries in water for 10 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.
  3. Transfer them to a bowl and add olive oil, red chilli powder, black pepper, chat masala, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Preheat the air fryer or oven to 180°C.
  5. Place the fries in a single layer and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Cook until crisp.
  6. Serve hot with mint chutney or homemade curd dip.

Notes

For extra crispiness, avoid overlapping the fries while cooking. You can also add garlic powder for extra flavour.
