  • 1.5 cups Whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp Instant yeast
  • 1 tsp Sugar Helps activate yeast
  • 3/4 cup Warm water Adjust as needed
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil For dough
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
Pizza Topping Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Pizza sauce Homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup Mixed vegetables Capsicum, onion, tomato, sweet corn
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese Use less for a lighter version
  • 1 tsp Mixed herbs
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli flakes

Method
 

  1. Mix whole wheat flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add warm water slowly and knead into a soft dough.
  2. Add olive oil and knead again for 2 to 3 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and rest it for 1 hour or until it doubles.
  4. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Grease a baking tray lightly.
  5. Roll the dough into a medium-thick pizza base and place it on the tray.
  6. Spread pizza sauce evenly. Add vegetables and sprinkle cheese.
  7. Top with herbs and chilli flakes.
  8. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese melts.

Notes

You can prepare the dough in advance and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours. Use low-fat cheese for a lighter version.
