  • 1 cup rolled oats lightly roasted
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped apple preferably red apple
  • 6 pieces seedless dates soft, for natural sweetness
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 2 tsp ghee optional, for binding and flavor

  • Non-stick pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • food processor or blender

Method
 

  1. Dry roast the rolled oats in a pan on low flame for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly crisp. Let them cool.
  2. Blend the dates into a soft paste using a food processor.
  3. In a mixing bowl, add oats, date paste, chopped apples, chia seeds, cinnamon powder, and ghee.
  4. Mix everything well until the mixture comes together like a dough. If needed, mash lightly with your hands.
  5. Take small portions and roll them into bite-sized gems.
  6. Refrigerate for 20 minutes to firm up. Store in an airtight container for 3 days.

Notes

You can replace dates with jaggery. Add walnuts or almonds for extra crunch. Best consumed as a mid-morning or evening snack.
