  • 1 tbsp olive oil or any cold-pressed oil
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder adjust to taste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt adjust as needed

Equipment

  • Baking Tray
  • Oven
  • Mandoline slicer or sharp knife
  • Mixing bowl

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Slice sweet potatoes into thin, even rounds using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  3. Add slices to a mixing bowl. Drizzle oil and sprinkle all spices. Toss gently so the slices are coated evenly.
  4. Arrange the slices in a single layer on the baking tray. Do not overlap.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping once halfway, until crisp and lightly golden.
  6. Remove and let them cool for 5 minutes. They crisp up more as they cool.

Notes

Slice as thin as possible for best crispiness. You can also add chaat masala or roasted jeera powder for extra flavour.
