  • 2 cups bottle gourd (lauki), peeled and chopped use fresh and tender lauki
  • 10-12 leaves fresh mint
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated optional
  • 1 cup water adjust as needed
  • 1 pinch black salt optional

Method
 

  1. Peel the bottle gourd and cut it into small pieces.
  2. Add chopped bottle gourd, mint leaves, ginger and water to a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and completely pureed.
  4. Strain the mixture using a fine strainer to get a clear juice.
  5. Mix in lemon juice and a pinch of black salt. Stir well.
  6. Serve immediately for best results.

Notes

Always use fresh and tender bottle gourd. Avoid lauki that tastes bitter, as it may cause stomach discomfort. Drink the juice immediately for maximum nutrition.
