  • 2 tbsp chia seeds rinse once before use
  • 2 cups water chilled or room-temperature
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice adjust to taste
  • 1-2 tsp honey or jaggery powder optional, for sweetness
  • 1 pinch black salt optional for taste

Method
 

  1. Add chia seeds to a glass and pour water over them. Stir well so the seeds do not clump.
  2. Let the chia seeds soak for 5 to 10 minutes until they swell and turn gel-like.
  3. Add lemon juice, honey or jaggery, and a pinch of black salt. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or lemon as needed. Serve chilled.

Notes

You can add fresh mint leaves, a slice of lemon, or a bit of roasted cumin powder for extra flavour. Great for hydration, digestion, and weight management.
