Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 6 almonds Almonds soaked in warm water 30 min
  • 6 cashews Cashews soaked in warm water 30 min
  • 10 pistachios Pistachios (pista) soaked or raw
  • 4 dates (pitted) Dates soft or soaked if hard
  • 10 raisins Raisins optional for extra sweetness
  • 2 cups Milk cold or chilled; you may use almond or soy milk to make it vegan
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder optional, for flavour
  • Ice cubes optional, for chilled shake

Equipment

  • blender

Method

  1. Rinse almonds, cashews and pistachios. Soak them in warm water for about 30 minutes. If dates are hard, soak them too until soft.
  2. Drain the water from soaked nuts and dry fruits. Add them into a blender.
  3. Add pitted dates, raisins (if using), 1 cup of cold milk and cardamom powder into the blender.
  4. Blend everything into a smooth paste. If consistency is too thick, add remaining 1 cup milk.
  5. Add ice cubes if you like a chilled shake. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

Best consumed fresh. You can adjust quantity of dates or raisins for natural sweetness. For vegan version, use plant-based milk.
