Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 100 grams Paneer cut into a thick patty shape
  • 1 tbsp Curd
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Olive oil for cooking
  • 1 Whole wheat burger bun sliced
  • 2–3 slices Tomato
  • 2–3 rings Onion
  • 2 leaves Lettuce
  • 1 tbsp Mint yogurt sauce mint + curd + salt

Equipment

  • Non-stick pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Mix curd, red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala and salt in a bowl. Coat the paneer patty and rest it for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan and brush a little oil. Cook the paneer on medium flame for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden.
  3. Lightly toast the whole wheat bun on the same pan for better taste and texture.
  4. Spread mint yogurt sauce on both sides of the bun.
  5. Place lettuce, cooked paneer patty, tomato slices and onion rings. Cover with the top bun.
  6. Serve the Healthy Paneer Burger warm. Ideal with a side of fresh salad.

Notes

You can air-fry the paneer patty for a lower-oil version. Add cucumber or beetroot for more crunch and fibre.
