  • 1 cup hung curd well strained
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cucumber
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp chaat masala optional
  • 1/2 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 4 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1 tsp ghee or butter for toasting

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Tawa or grill pan

Method
 

  1. Add hung curd to a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth.
  2. Mix in cucumber, capsicum, grated carrot, and coriander.
  3. Season with black pepper, cumin powder, chaat masala, and salt. Combine well.
  4. Spread the curd filling evenly on two bread slices.
  5. Cover with the remaining slices to make sandwiches.
  6. Heat a tawa, apply a little ghee or butter, and toast both sides on low flame until crisp.
  7. Cut and serve warm.

Notes

You can add finely chopped onions or boiled corn for extra crunch. Use multigrain bread for higher fibre.
