  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, crushed use freshly crushed for best flavor
  • 1 tsp tea leaves adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup milk optional or use dairy-free milk
  • 1-2 tsp jaggery or sugar add as per sweetness

Method
 

  1. Boil water in a saucepan on medium heat.
  2. Add crushed ginger and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes for strong flavor.
  3. Add tea leaves and boil for another minute.
  4. Pour in milk and let the tea come to a gentle boil.
  5. Add jaggery or sugar and allow it to dissolve fully.
  6. Strain the tea into cups and serve hot.

Notes

For weight loss, reduce milk and jaggery. For stronger flavor, add 1–2 more slices of ginger.
