Method
- Add whole wheat flour, chopped methi, oil, ajwain, red chilli powder, turmeric, and salt to a mixing bowl.
- Mix everything well so the methi is evenly combined with the flour.
- Add water little by little and knead a soft, smooth dough. Rest it for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal balls and roll each into a medium-thick paratha using a rolling pin.
- Heat a tawa on medium flame and cook each paratha on both sides until golden brown. Apply oil or ghee while roasting.
- Serve hot with curd, pickle, or dal.
Notes
Use fresh methi for the best flavor. Reduce chilli if making for kids. You can also add a little curd to make the dough softer.
