  • 1 cup Grated radish (muli) squeeze out extra water
  • 2 tbsp Finely chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp Green chilli, finely chopped adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain (carom seeds)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 2 tsp Oil or ghee for cooking use as needed

Equipment

  • Tawa
  • Mixing bowl
  • Rolling Pin

Method

  1. Add whole wheat flour, grated and squeezed radish, coriander, green chilli, red chilli powder, turmeric, ajwain and salt to a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix everything well. The moisture from the radish will help form a soft dough. Add 1–2 tbsp water only if needed.
  3. Knead the dough for 2–3 minutes and rest it for 5 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into two balls. Dust with flour and roll each into a medium-sized paratha.
  5. Heat a tawa and place the paratha on it. Cook until light golden spots appear.
  6. Apply a little oil or ghee on both sides and cook until crisp and evenly browned.
  7. Serve hot with curd or pickle.

Notes

Squeeze radish properly to avoid a sticky dough. You can add radish leaves for extra fiber and flavor.
