  • 250 g Paneer, cubed fresh and firm
  • 1/2 cup Curd thick, hung curd preferred
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Mustard oil for authentic flavour
  • 1 Capsicum cut into cubes
  • 1 Onion cut into layers

Method
 

  1. Add curd, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala, lemon juice, mustard oil, and salt in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Add paneer cubes, onion, and capsicum into the marinade and coat everything gently.
  3. Cover the bowl and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Thread the marinated paneer and vegetables onto skewers.
  5. Heat a grill pan or preheat oven to 200°C. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, turning in between until golden.
  6. Brush lightly with oil and serve hot with mint chutney.

Notes

For a smoky flavour, place a hot charcoal piece in a small bowl inside the marinated paneer, drizzle oil, cover for 2 minutes.
