  • 200 grams Soya chaap sticks boiled or thawed
  • 3 tbsp Curd thick
  • 1 tbsp Besan helps coating stick
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 Whole wheat rotis freshly made
  • 1 Onion thinly sliced
  • 1 Capsicum thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp Mint chutney or low-fat mayo

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Tawa or Pan
  • Skewers (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, add curd, besan, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala, and lemon juice. Mix into a smooth marinade.
  2. Cut the soya chaap into bite-size pieces and coat them well in the marinade. Rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a pan with a few drops of oil. Cook the marinated chaap on medium heat until golden from all sides.
  4. Warm the rotis on a tawa and spread mint chutney or low-fat mayo on each.
  5. Place cooked chaap in the center. Add sliced onions and capsicum on top.
  6. Roll tightly and serve hot.

Notes

You can add cabbage, lettuce, or hung curd dressing for extra freshness. For a spicier version, sprinkle chaat masala before rolling.
