Method
- In a mixing bowl, add whole wheat flour, soya flour, and salt. Mix well.
- Add water little by little and begin kneading the dough.
- Add a teaspoon of oil and knead until the dough becomes smooth and soft.
- Cover the dough and rest it for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin roti.
- Heat a tawa on medium flame. Place the rolled roti and cook until small bubbles appear.
- Flip and cook the other side until golden brown spots appear. Press lightly for even cooking.
- Remove from the tawa and keep rotis wrapped in a cloth to stay soft.
Notes
Soya flour is high in protein, so even a small amount boosts the nutritional value. Avoid adding too much as it can make rotis hard. Serve with dal, sabzi, or curd for a balanced meal.
