  • 1 cup Dalia (broken wheat) roasted
  • 1/4 cup Sugar adjust as per taste
  • 3 tbsp Ghee
  • 2 tbsp Milk to bind
  • 2 tbsp Chopped nuts almonds, cashews
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1 pinch Orange food color optional

  • Non-stick pan
  • Spatula
  • Mixing bowl
  • Mixer grinder

Method
 

  1. Heat a pan on medium flame and roast dalia until golden and fragrant. Let it cool.
  2. Grind the roasted dalia to a fine ladoo-like texture. Keep it slightly coarse for best results.
  3. Warm ghee in the same pan, add the ground dalia and roast for 3 to 4 minutes on low flame.
  4. Add sugar, cardamom, food color, and chopped nuts. Mix well.
  5. Sprinkle warm milk gradually and mix till the mixture starts binding.
  6. Shape small ladoos while the mixture is warm. Let them set for 5 minutes.

Notes

You can add jaggery powder instead of sugar for a healthier version. Store in an airtight container for 3 days.
