Method
- Steam the sprouted moong dal for 5 to 7 minutes until soft but not mushy.
- Let it cool for a few minutes and transfer it to a mixer grinder.
- Pulse just once or twice to get a coarse mixture. Do not grind into a paste.
- Move the mixture to a bowl. Add green chilli, coriander, cumin powder, turmeric, black pepper and salt.
- Mix well and shape into small lemon-sized balls.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
Notes
These balls make a great pre-workout snack. For extra flavour, add grated ginger or lemon juice.
