  • 1 cup boiled and mashed sweet potato smoothly mashed
  • 1 to 1.25 cups whole wheat flour add as needed for soft dough
  • 1/4 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp ghee or oil optional for softness

  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, add boiled and mashed sweet potato, salt, and a little whole wheat flour.
  2. Start mixing with your hands and add more flour gradually to form a soft, smooth dough.
  3. Divide the dough into equal balls and roll each ball into a medium-sized roti using a rolling pin.
  4. Heat a tawa on medium flame and place the rolled roti on it.
  5. Cook until small bubbles appear, then flip. Cook the other side until light brown spots form.
  6. Apply a little ghee if desired, press gently to cook evenly, and remove from the tawa.
  7. Repeat for all rotis and serve warm.

Notes

Sweet Potato Roti stays softer for longer due to natural moisture. Great for kids and perfect for lunchboxes.
