Ingredients
  • 1 cup curd (dahi) fresh and slightly chilled
  • 1.5 cups water adjust for thickness
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 pinch black salt to taste
  • 1 green chilli finely chopped, optional

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or blender
  • Strainer (optional)

Method
 

  1. Add curd and water to a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth and frothy.
  2. Mix in cumin powder, ginger, chopped coriander, black salt and green chilli.
  3. Taste and adjust salt or water as needed. Chill for 10 minutes for best flavour.
  4. Serve cold in glasses. Stir before serving as spices may settle.

Notes

For a smoother drink, strain the mixture before serving. You can skip green chilli for a milder version.
