  • 1 cup curd (yogurt) fresh and chilled
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped optional
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp black salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 tsp salt adjust to taste

Method
 

  1. Whisk the curd in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the finely chopped onions and mix gently.
  3. Add cumin powder, black salt, regular salt, and coriander leaves. Stir well.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Keep it chilled until serving.

Notes

You can add a pinch of red chilli powder or green chilli for extra spice. Use thick curd for best texture. This raita pairs well with biryani, pulao, paratha, and grilled dishes.
