- Heat ghee in a saucepan and add suji. Roast it on low flame for 2 to 3 minutes until it turns slightly golden and aromatic.
- Pour in the milk slowly while stirring to avoid lumps.
- Cook the mixture on medium flame for 5 to 6 minutes until it thickens.
- Add jaggery and mix well. Let it dissolve completely.
- Sprinkle cardamom powder and stir.
- Turn off the heat and garnish with chopped almonds. Serve warm or chilled.
Notes
For a thicker kheer, cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Replace jaggery with dates for a healthier, naturally sweet version.
