  • 2 medium apples red or green
  • 1 tbsp honey or jaggery syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp raisins optional
  • 1 tbsp chopped nuts almonds or walnuts

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a baking tray.
  2. Wash the apples and remove the core using a small knife, keeping the bottom intact.
  3. Mix honey, cinnamon, raisins, and nuts in a bowl.
  4. Fill the hollow center of each apple with the mixture.
  5. Place the apples on the tray and bake for 20–25 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  6. Serve warm as a healthy dessert or snack.

Notes

You can drizzle a little warm honey before serving. For added fiber and nutrition, sprinkle chia or flax seeds.
