  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder or 1 inch fresh turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper helps absorption
  • 1 tsp grated ginger optional
  • 1 tsp honey optional, add after boiling

Method
 

  1. Heat water in a saucepan on medium flame.
  2. Add turmeric, black pepper, and ginger. Mix well.
  3. Let it boil for 3 to 4 minutes until the flavours come out.
  4. Strain the tea into a cup.
  5. Add honey only after the tea cools slightly. Stir and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavour, add a pinch of cinnamon or a few tulsi leaves. Drink at night for better sleep and reduced inflammation.
