  • 3 whole cloves (laung)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp honey optional

  • strainer
  • Cup

Method
 

  1. Add water and cloves to a saucepan.
  2. Boil on medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes until the water turns light brown.
  3. Switch off the gas and let it rest for 1 minute.
  4. Strain the tea into a cup.
  5. Add honey if you prefer mild sweetness and serve warm.

Notes

Drink on an empty stomach for better digestion and relief from bloating. Avoid overuse as cloves are strong in flavour.
