
Capsicum Raita
Capsicum raita is a refreshing Indian side dish made with curd, sautéed capsicum, and simple spices. It pairs well with roti, paratha and rice meals.

- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
- Add chopped capsicum and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes on medium heat until slightly soft but still crunchy.
- Take the sautéed capsicum off the heat and let it cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk curd until smooth and creamy.
- Add cooled capsicum, black salt, regular salt, roasted cumin powder and red chilli powder. Mix well.
- Add chopped coriander and stir gently. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Chill for 10 minutes and serve with roti, pulao, biryani or any Indian meal.
Notes
For extra flavour, you can add a pinch of chaat masala or finely chopped green chilli. Use thick curd for best texture.
