
Roasted Garlic Hummus
This roasted garlic hummus is a smooth, protein-rich dip made with chickpeas and Indian pantry ingredients. Perfect for healthy snacking.

- Cut the top of the garlic head, drizzle a little olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast in an oven at 200°C for 20 minutes or roast on a covered tawa until soft.
- Once roasted, squeeze out the soft garlic cloves into a bowl.
- Add boiled chickpeas, roasted garlic, tahini, lemon juice, roasted cumin powder, black pepper, and salt to a mixer jar.
- Blend once, then add cold water gradually and blend again until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust salt, lemon, or water for consistency.
- Transfer to a bowl and top with olive oil before serving.
Notes
For extra creaminess, remove chickpea skins before blending. Serve with veggies, roti chips, or whole wheat pita.
