  • 1 cup chilled milk (dairy or almond milk)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds soaked for 10 minutes
  • 2-3 strands saffron soaked in 1 tbsp warm milk for color
  • 2 dates deseeded
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Method
 

  1. Add milk, soaked chia seeds, saffron milk, dates, and cardamom powder to a blender.
  2. Blend for 20-30 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour into a glass and serve chilled. You can garnish with a few saffron strands or a pinch of chia seeds.

Notes

For extra protein, add 2 tbsp Greek yogurt. For a vegan version, use almond or oat milk and replace dates with jaggery syrup if preferred.
