  • 1 cup milk (cow milk or any plant milk)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder Helps better absorption
  • 1 tsp jaggery or honey Adjust to taste
  • 1 pinch cinnamon powder Optional
  • 1 pinch ginger powder Optional

Method
 

  1. Heat milk in a saucepan on medium flame.
  2. Add turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, and ginger. Mix well.
  3. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Do not boil too much.
  4. Turn off the flame and add jaggery or honey. Stir well.
  5. Pour into a cup and serve warm.

Notes

You can use fresh haldi instead of powder. Add a small crushed piece while heating and strain before drinking.
