  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup jaggery powder adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds white or mixed
  • 2 tbsp ghee for binding
  • 2–3 tbsp warm water as needed for dough
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder optional

  • Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Add whole wheat flour, jaggery powder, sesame seeds and cardamom to a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Pour in ghee and rub it into the flour until it looks like breadcrumbs.
  3. Add warm water little by little and make a firm dough.
  4. Place the dough between parchment sheets and roll it into a thin sheet.
  5. Cut into small squares or strips using a knife or pizza cutter.
  6. Bake at 170°C for 10–12 minutes until crisp and golden.
  7. Let them cool completely before storing in an airtight jar.

Notes

For extra crunch, keep the dough thin. You can also add flax seeds or chia seeds for more fiber.
